Off on holiday

Mr Anusha and I are visiting the Chelsea Flower Show tomorrow, and then we're off to the South of France on Monday for a few days (sad but true, it's our first holiday in four years). We're staying at Les Rosees, a small guesthouse in Mougins, a medieval village surrounded by pines, olives and cyprus trees, which is situated about 15 minutes from Cannes (we're arriving the day after the film festival finishes).


After a breakfast on the terrace, the rough plan is to explore the the Cote d'Azur in our little hire car each day, before relaxing by the pool in the afternoon, and then on to one of the many local restaurants in the evening.


Apparently Brangelina are still in the area, so I'll let you know if we bump into Angelina and her - ahem - rather large bump!

The perfect dress for weddings!

With the wedding season fast approaching, now's the time to get hunting for that perfect dress. We've picked this wonderful Camille hibiscus pink dress as our choice. Utterly gorgeous (and incredibly flattering), it combines two trends: tea dresses and show-stopping colour. So that's this summer's weddings (and holidays and parties) covered!

In Bath this summer, there’s a public art event, King Bladud’s Pigs, which is designed to celebrate the city's founding father King Bladud who, according to legend, discovering the healing powers of its hot spring waters around 3,000 years ago, while walking with his heard of pigs.

Businesses across Bath are sponsoring life-size fibre-glass pig sculptures, which are decorated by local artists and then placed at well-known locations around the city. More jolly pigs are emerging every few days, and they'll be around 100 added in the next six months.

Evie dress

We apologise for the delay in our first shipment of the Evie dress. I won't go into the boring details - surfice to say it hasn't arrived as scheduled. The good news is that it's going to be sent to us this week, with another large shipment to follow at the beginning of June.

We're still accepting orders against the first batch, but hurry, this gorgeous dress is selling fast!

Very excited!

With my 40th birthday fast approaching (that's obviously not the exciting part), Mr Anusha and I have been to see jeweller, Tina Engell, to have a chat about having a cocktail ring made for me.



Her 'Cup' collection features single-stone rings of varying sizes, which can be worn on their own or, most strikingly, in a cluster of three at slightly different angles. I've had my finger measured, and the basic rings are going to be made up in the next couple of weeks. The next time I see Tina, I've got to decide which combination of stones I want to go for (I'm pretty keen in the blue topaz, green peridot and green amethyst mix seen here). All very exciting...
