I've decided to give our living room a bit of an update. I'm going start by changing our rather uninspiring chandelier for a lampshade by Holger Strøm. Designed in 1972, the IQlight kit comes flat-packed and consists of 30 interlocking modules, which can be made into 21 different designs. Wish me luck...

This season, our jewellery collection is bigger than ever! Here are three of our favourite friendship bracelets. My name is Michael Caine

Last night I went to see Michael Caine at an event organised by Toppings bookshop. The actor was in conversation with BBC presenter Justin Webb (who grew up in Bath) about his life and his new autobiography, The Elephant To Hollywood.

As he flew into the city by helicopter, Michael updated his Twitter page: "I've just seen Bath from the air and I realise that the city is on the side of an enormous green bowl. It looks fantastic."

I'm not a fan of a lot of his work (he's starred in some real stinkers), but it was great to see a proper Hollywood legend. He's certainly charismatic, and an entertaining storyteller.
