Bijoux Bride

I've just had a lovely email from a customer, Louise, who ordered our peacock feather hairslide for her wedding (pictured here on her big day!).

Since her wedding, Louise has started her own blog, Bijoux Bride, which offers inspiration and advice for small and intimate weddings.

Just add water

Tucked away in Bathwick, on the banks of the River Avon in Bath, is the country's only surviving Georgian lido. Closed for more than 20 years, the Cleveland Pleasure Baths (what a great name!) were once a favourite summer destination for generations of Bathonians.

A campaign, led by The Princes Regeneration Trust, is now underway to re-open the pools for public bathing. It would be fantastic to see a proper public lido in Bath!

If you're interested in the volunteering, here's a link to the website.

New jewellery – first look

Very excited! We've just received the first delivery of our affordable spring/summer costume jewellery collection at Anusha. And because we're doing more jewellery than ever before, we've divided it up into the following sections: earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and hair accessories. We hope it will make it easier for you to find what you're looking for. Here's a taste of what's in store...

Big thanks to Louise, Anusha's photographer, for making the shoot so easy (and fun!).

Breakfast At The Chapel

Yesterday we went to At The Chapel in Bruton, a pretty village 26 miles out of Bath. The stunning building – previously a 17th-century coaching inn – houses a bakery, wine shop, café, bar and restaurant. We met up with six friends for breakfast before heading off for a long walk in lovely countryside, on one of the sunniest days of the year so far. After our walk, we had tea and homemade cake at a friend's house, before heading back to Bath feeling tired but very happy. A perfect Sunday!

Yotam Ottolenghi's Plenty

I've recently bought Yotam Ottolenghi’s veggie cookbook, Plenty. The Guardian columnist and restaurant/posh takeaway owner's latest book is a real treat: a tactile, padded hardback cover, beautiful illustrations and tempting photographs throughout. Now that spring is (almost) here, I'm looking forward to trying out some of his delicious salads.
